Husband/wife team Nathan Vrooman and Rachel Stinson Vrooman work as winemakers/part-owners at Ankida Ridge Vineyards in Amherst, VA and Stinson Vineyards in Crozet, VA. Since their first vintage in 2010, they have seen the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to grapes. They prefer a good vintage, but can appreciate the many lessons learned from a bad one. The rainy 2018 vintage led them to experiment with reverse osmosis as a valuable tool in challenging years.
